Sarah Lopez

Technical Manager, Rockline Industries

BIOGRAPHY

Sarah is a Technical Manager on Rockline's Global Product Development team. With over 10 years of experience, she has successfully developed and launched numerous wet wipe formulations for personal care and skin care products globally.

In her current role, Sarah manages Rockline’s Stability program and leads efforts related to claims substantiation, product safety, and clean chemistry initiatives. Sarah also plays a critical role ensuring the seamless implementation of significant legislative changes such as MoCRA.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas and a Master's Degree in Cosmetic Science from the University of Cincinnati. Her Master's research focused on understanding the skin microbiome and its interaction with atopic dermatitis. Specifically, she investigated potential clinical interventions using prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics to treat atopic dermatitis.

Nourish & Knowledge: Skin Formulations Workshop 101

The Formulation 101 Workshop will teach participants about the ingredients that go into personal care wet wipes formulations. The workshop facilitators will explain the differences between solutions and emulsions, followed by a deep dive into surfactants, preservatives, and specialty ingredients while merging with the nonwoven to deliver optimal performance. The formulation workshop doesn’t end there. The facilitators will tell you more about specific skin care ingredients and delivery techniques to the skin.
